Amateur football in Chiswick since 1875
Polytechnic FC is an amateur football club based in Chiswick, West London. Established in 1875, the club is a full member of the Football Association, the Amateur Football Alliance and the Southern Amateur League.
The Polytechnic name carries a rich sporting history, from the early years of the FA Cup to the origins of the London Marathon and links with many editions of the Olympic Games. Today, that heritage lives through a volunteer-run football club that embraces amateur football and welcomes players, supporters and friends of every background.
Across its squads, Polytechnic FC can cater for adult players of all ages and standards. Six open-age teams play on Saturday afternoons in the Southern Amateur League and AFA cup competitions, alongside the Development XI, a women's side, a 40+ Veterans team and a Strollers/Casuals section playing Saturday friendlies.
Polytechnic Women’s XI
Polytechnic Women’s XI was formed in 2025 and has continued to grow as a friendly, inclusive and ambitious team. The squad is preparing for the 2026 London 11s AFA eleven-a-side league, with Thursday evening training, excellent coaching and a growing programme of matches and social activities.

The main changing facilities are in the basement of the pavilion, with a licensed bar above where after-match refreshments are served.
The main ground has three full 11-a-side football pitches, with a 3G facility across Hartington Road.

We are located a 5-10 minute walk from Chiswick Overground Station, trains run every 30 minutes to and from London Waterloo. Mortlake Station is approximately a 15-20 minute walk away. You can also reach the Poly by buses 190, 272 or the E3.
